Finisher / Sprayer

Job description

We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced finisher / sprayer to join our growing team at Brockhampton. Located between Dorchester and Sherborne, we design and create high quality bespoke furniture. Our main projects are for London based clients, creating high end residential joinery from kitchens to dressing rooms and everything in between.

Our ideal candidate will be hardworking with an excellent eye for detail. We are looking for someone who works well under their own initiative but can also adapt to working as part of a team to ensure that deadlines are met.

The successful candidate will have prior experience with wood spraying and prepping, as well as being enthusiastic and positive with a can-do attitude.

Key skills:

• Experience with woodwork spraying.
• High level of skill and attention to detail.
• Able to work to agreed deadlines to a high standard.
• Able to work from production drawings.
• Able to work under own initiative as well as part of a team.
• Good Communication skills.

• Ability to paint / stain furniture with a high degree of precision to always obtain a perfect finish.

• Must be confident with the use of wood-working spray machinery.

• Be willing to grow and develop within the company.
• Up to date with Health & Safety requirements and the use of appropriate PPE.

What we are offering:

• Highly competitive salary of up to £25 per hour will be offered, based on experience, ability, and skill.
• Flexible working hours based on a 40-hour week – working the 40 hours over 4 days would be considered.
• Overtime available, payable at time and a half over 40 hours.

Skilled Cabinet Maker

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced cabinet maker to join our growing team at Brockhampton.  Based in the beautiful Dorset countryside, we design and create high quality bespoke furniture.  Our main projects are for London based clients, creating high end residential joinery from kitchens to media rooms.

Our ideal candidate will be hardworking and have a good eye for detail. You must have a passion for making high end furniture and be skilled in using a variety of materials and machinery.

We are looking for someone who works well under their own initiative but can also adapt to working as part of a team to ensure that deadlines are met.

This role is ideally suited to someone who likes to take responsibility for their work and takes pride in producing the perfect product.

Requirements:

• Ability to produce furniture to an exceptional standard of craftsmanship.
• Needs to be motivated and hardworking.
• Honest and reliable
• Communication and problem-solving skills essential.
• Understanding of technical production drawings.
• At least two years’ experience in a similar cabinet making role.

WE ARE HIRING

CAD Designer

We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced CAD Designer to join our growing team at Brockhampton.  Located between Dorchester and Sherborne, we design and create high quality bespoke furniture. Our main projects are for London and overseas based clients, creating high end residential joinery from kitchens to dressing rooms and everything in between.

The Role

Working on a variety of projects, you will liaise with the project managers, production, and workshop teams, to provide client drawings and technical designs for manufacturing using AutoCAD.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Design and develop line drawings of bespoke furniture using AutoCAD.
• Create full working production drawing packs and templates, clearly noting all details for all departments involved in the manufacturing cycle.
• Capable of managing your own workloads with a hands-on approach to all aspects of the role.
• Visits to sites will be required as part of the design process.

Skills & Experience

• At least three years relevant industry experience.
• Furniture making background.
• Highly experienced in AutoCAD with experience in creating technical drawings for manufacture.
• Confident and experienced in producing clear professional manufacturing drawings.
• Demonstrate a detailed knowledge and experience of luxury furniture production.
• Good problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communicator, with a high level of numeracy and literacy in English.
• Excellent time keeping and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work on a variety of projects simultaneously, both individually and as part of a team.
• Experience in 3D modelling would be an advantage.
• Ability to use a 3-axis laser and take accurate site dimensions advantageous.
